Qualifications:

 

B Com Accounting degree

3 Years’ experience in financial accountant position

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

  • Demonstrable business success as an accountant
  • Professional, excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, etc.)
  • Pastel Accounting
  • Pastel Payroll

 

Duties:

All trial balances:

  • General ledgers
  • General journals
  • Postings to trial balances

Reconciliations:

  • Balance sheet accounts

Manage debtors and creditors:

  • Account scrutiny
  • Payments
  • Statutory calculations and payments
  • Invoicing
  • Receipts
  • Allocations to general ledgers

Employee related accounts:

  • Salary and benefit allocations
  • Incidental claims
  • Cash claims/purchases

Payroll management:

  • Payroll processing
  • General ledger and payroll report recon
  • Allocations
  • Statutory submissions

Reporting

  • Management Account
  • Loan Account
  • Financial Statements
  • Community Booklet

Budgets

  • Annual budget

Audits

  • Financial year audit
  • Adhoc audits
